Martin Söderqvist, formerly of the now defunct Hostile Cell, has issued the following update about his new band Debbie Ray:
“The Debbie Ray recording process is done for now. We are currently mixing three new songs and thinking about how they will be released in the best way. We are either putting them out directly on Itunes, as separate tunes, or putting them on a remastered ‘Artificial Misery’ album that would be released in Europe through a label that we have recieved an offer from. We will decide in the next few weeks.
“In other news, I just went to listen to some new tunes that Johan X Svensson and Eric Olausson are working on and I was blown away. So I will for sure join them in this all new, yet to be named, project. The difference between this and Hostile Cell is that I will take a step back and just adapt to whatever music riff-maniac Svensson is coming up with and write to it.
“I can tell you that it will be extremely heavy stuff, but we are talking about clean vocals. We will start working on the material in about a week. I will not give a fuck about what the music industry in Sweden wants this time around. I will play because I love to play music.”
