SMNnews Exclusive: Lizard Skynard working on new material

The avant garde/punk/psychedelic/ambient/grindcore/space rock freak show that is LIZARD SKYNARD, featuring Erik Lizardman Sprague and ex-THE HEAVILS guitarist Mossy Vaughn are currently working on new material. A release date has not yet been set for the follow-up to their self-titled debut.

Lizardman’s spoken word style has been compared to Henry Rollins, but is actually based on a type of Reader’s Theater storytelling or old radio programs.

“We have been getting a lot of press, mostly good,” Mossy said. “As far as the new stuff, I think we are still a young band and are slowly finding our own sound. The new stuff so far is weirder and heavier. The lyrics are really going to make people think.”
