BEHEMOTH: Frontman Diagnosed With Leukemia

BEHEMOTH frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski has been diagnosed with leukemia.

According to reports, the disease is in advanced stages to where chemotherapy is not an option for treatment. Nergal will most likely need a bone marrow transplant.

Reports indicate that Nergal’s fiance has donated bone marrow, but it has not been determined if there will be a DNA match.

This is very sad news for all metal fans, many of whom have already shown incredible support. Other Polish artists are currently organizing concerts to help raise awareness of Nergal’s condition, although no artists or concert dates have as yet been announced. Nergal is currently undergoing a multi-stage, months-long treatment at Gdansk Medical University Hospital and all BEHEMOTH tour dates indefinitely canceled for the foreseeable future.

This is the unexpected clarification of  Nergal’s very hopeful statement earlier this month.
