Punk Goes Classic Rock

It is a somewhat misleading title, as not all participating artists are strictly ‘punk’, but we feel as though it is newsworthy nonetheless. The likes of BLESSTHEFALL, HIT THE LIGHTS, A SKYLIT DRIVE, and NEVER SAY NEVER will be teaming up for Punk Goes Classic Rock. The first song off of Punk Goes Classic Rock will premiere on March 3rd, but until then, get an exclusive listen to a clip of  THE ALMOST‘s cover of “Free Fallin” on MySpace.

here’s a tip: don’t ever try and cover queen… ever. it won’t work out. Between the Buried and Me came the closest I think, but even that was still sub-par and way to sterile sounding.

Generally, Queen is one of those bands you just don’t touch, but BTBAM pulled if off fairly well. Their King Crimson cover was pretty good as well.

In any event, there is nothing punk about this compilation -- at all.
