Slipknot Unveil Short Film ‘Snuff’

SLIPKNOT’s genre-bending new single, “Snuff,” is currently Top 5 at Active Rock and Top 20 at Modern Rock and is climbing steadily.

When the time came to create a visual for “Snuff”, once again the band did the unexpected.  The band is set to unveil a short film, co-directed by SLIPKNOT’s own M. Shawn Crahan and renowned photographer/director P.R. Brown, to accompany the track. The film features frontman Corey Taylor as never seen before, interwoven in an intricate storyline.

Half way through I was guessed that he was dead. With that and the “I want you to promise that you’ll never let me go,” I decided this video was lame. I was pleasantly surprised.

He’s not dead she’s dead or gone in some way. And by him “never letting go is” dressing up to look like her

I like how this music video is being advertised as a short film. What signifies this music video with a plot to be called a short film compared to other music videos that do? Really, aren’t they all in essence, short films?
