Evile Bassist Mike Alexander Tragically Dies On Amon Amarth Tour
EVILE has announced the tragic and untimely passing of bassist Mike Alexander just days into the band’s European tour with AMON AMARTH. EVILE’s Mike Alexander was suddenly taken ill and rushed to hospital, but tragically passed away in Lulea, Sweden.

EVILE members Matt Drake, Ol Drake and Ben Carter have released the following statement:
“This is so hard to find the words to express fully how we feel. We can’t believe or accept what’s happened. One minute we’re talking to our buddy, Mike, the next minute we can never speak to him again.
There’s so many things rushing through our heads that we want to say, do and feel. We half expect him to come round the corner and call us ‘dickheads’. We can’t get our heads around it.
It upsets us so much that he was away from his family when this happened, although knowing Mike, we’re at least glad he was on tour doing what he loves.
We’re lost for words. We all miss him so much already. He was such a headstrong, genuinely nice guy who loved music and his family. We’ve got so many brilliant memories with him.
Our hearts go out to his daughter, family and friends at this tragic, difficult time.
Mike is much loved and is sorely missed.
Rest in peace, brother.”

geez that type of thing just bums me right out… especially when it’s so unexpected……If this doesn’t make people believe in a higher power then I don’t know what will. sure he could’ve had heart disease or something like that but as of right now a guy has dropped dead for no reason…..and I just hate that! My condolences to Evile and his family. R.I.P.
There is almost always a reason for an abrupt death such as this. What that reason is, well, that’s a mystery for now.

actually its reasons like this why many people, including myself, do not believe… sure “the lord giveth, and the lord taketh away” — but as of right now, someone is prematurely dead and all his friends and family are grieving. You know who else causes this kind of suffering? Bush. OH YEAH, I WENT THERE — i just compared God to Bush…

Everything has a purpose for happening and who is to say he died prematurely? Creatures of all walks of life on our planet die at various age differences; some young, some old. Theirs scientific reasoning behind why he died, why he got sick and why it happened at that certain point in his life.
Thanatos, Bush doesn’t have shit on ‘God’. Billions and billions have died in the name of an imaginary being… Hitler got closer to God’s KO count then Bush.
Why bring all hitler and bush into it. A good musician died and you should respect that.
