Dimmu Borgir Loses 2 Members

DIMMU BORGIR have issued the following statement:
“We regret to inform you that we have parted ways with both I.C.S. Vortex [bassist, clean vocalist] and Mustis [keyboards]. However, we do want to make it perfectly clear that the creative force in the band is highly intact, perhaps even more so than ever. With that being said, we’re currently working on our next album and are excited to start a new chapter in the legacy that is Dimmu Borgir.”

Yep, there goes any interest I had in DImmu.
Vortex and Mustis were two vital members of this band. I mean, one could argue that Dimmu has been on a steady decline for a few years now, but this certainly isn’t going to help them either.
“Loses 2 Members”? What, did they get off their leash or roll behind the couch or something?

Jesus. Icy Simon Vortex was def my favorite member, and Mustis apparently has set forth a bunch of lawsuits for not getting as much publishing as he deserves (writing credits). Boo on this latest news, I wish those 2 dissed and vital members the best They need to start a new band together. And apparently Shag is married to Nicholas Cage’s ex? Too Hollywood for me. Dammit. I’m glad I saw this lineup with Hellhammer, incredible show, but never again. RIP
who the hell is gonna do the clean vocals for them live? or on CD? They are fucked.
Grr, they were my favorite members of Dimmu Borgir. I hate when good bands lose their members, cuz later they usually become shitty and/or mainstream. Just look at COF.

I think dimmu got alot of their popularity due to Vortex’s vocals. I hope he gets going with a new band soon because i miss Borknagar. im not as concerned about Mustis, even though he’s awesome, but Vortex is pretty irreplacable.
Wow, pretty much lost alot of interest in Dimmu Borgir after reading that. In Sorte Diaboli overall-eh . Vortexs clean parts and Mustis arrangements on In Sorte Diaboli saved the fucking album!!!!!!!!!!
The clean section of The Invaluable Darkness is one of the best things the band has ever written
I hate to say it and hope they prove me wrong but R.I.P. Dimmu Borgir.
Well good for them. If Dimmu was turning into a shit factory anyway, good riddence. I read Vortex got back in contact with lamented Souls, and I think Arcturus. I don’t know what the hell Mustis is gonna do.
Those two kept Dimmu Borgir on a steady foundation. In Sorte Diaboli was horrible. I listen to it for the Vortex parts… I’m not the first to say this and I won’t be the last… Dimmu Borgir is fucked. I have no reason to follow along with them anymore, let alone keep interest.
