Anonymous Band Seeking to Restore ‘True Metal’
An email appears to be doing the rounds across various metal portals, and we’re no different. It looks like a few “anonymous” people (with email addresses from Holland apparently…) are looking to put together a band to “fix metal”. Interest piqued? Think you fit the bill? The pitch is below:
Who are we? You will know when the time is right. We have toured the world, played the biggest venues & seen what success can bring. We have also lived life’s up’s and down’s and we are a few of the real people left in the music business.
This is a calling to audition for a brand new project. Vocalist‘s, Guitarist‘s, Bassist’s and anyone else who feels up to showing us what talent you have. This is for a brand new project, aiming at taking over where everyone else has left off and going beyond. A level of music that has not even been touched.
We have sat and waited for years, gathering material from our influences and waiting for the time to make the move. Now is that time. The time for something very new and very fresh. Out with the old and in with the new. We’ve seen great music come and go and with that, learned what NOT to do. No recycled material, sounds or gimmicks. Too many of the biggest bands in the world have lost their truth, their sound and worst of all, their hunger. Its time to show the world something completely amazing. Bring metal back and give the worlds true metal heads what they want and deserve.
We want the front man from hell. The guy who can bring meaning back into peoples hearts. Give fans someone to look up to, girls someone to fall in love with, and men, someone to want to drink with.
Rock stars, ego’s, extreme satanists, extreme xtians, emo kids, Korn kids and assholes- This is not for you. Too many of you have lost the magic of what playing “REAL” metal is all about.
This is aimed at finding the ultimate front man and the ultimate musicians for the job. People completely unknown to the world. The guys who deserve it. The people who are ready to put in the heart, blood, sweat, tears, love, hate, pain, passion, balls and hunger.
This is how it’s going to work.
Make an audition video of yourself performing anything you desire. The more diverse the material, the better. Have soul in your singing & playing. No copycat vocalists & no 100% mathematic guitarists please. We are not going to steal any of your material. We have 4 albums of material already written. Also, include information about yourself. A band is a family and we want to get along with whoever we choose. We want to know your meaning of life, fears, passions and why you deserve this opportunity.

The phrase “true metal” is so overused, it’s lost all significance. Metal is a genre/style of elasticity. There is no concrete blueprint for it – especially these days.
Anyway, this message is beyond esoteric. Sat and waited for years…gathering material from your influences…please. Keep stroking yourselves. Waited for what exactly? The right moment? Or for your ass to stop twitching? Get real. I’ll get back to the new ABR record, thanks.

Generic thrash…Never. We would never waste our time with such shit.. Holland, very good with searching the IP address. Thats why the original email was forwarded to a friend to send from Holland. We are actually located in the states.
If you’ve played the biggest venues in the world, you’re not going to make anything close to “true metal”, trust me.
