beautiful nightmare – All you’re doing by saying what you just said, is adding to the point that ghost_of_oden made about all ICP fans being “bad apples.” Juggalos are supposed to be open-minded and accepting of all, in a defiant and rebellious fashion, if that makes sense. Living any other way, wouldn’t be living by the Hatchet. When someone picks up the Hatchet and becomes Down, they are accepting a contract with themselves to speak out against the evils of society and to make oneself a better person. Being a Juggalo/lette isn’t a choice so much as it is a path. You don’t find the Hatchet, the Hatchet finds you. Listening to ICP opened my mind, and that’s all they wanted to do from the beginning: Open people’s minds to realize that this world is, for lack of better words, FUCKED UP. It’s the fucking 21st century and we STILL have racism, bigotry, abuse, rape, social darwinism, pedophiles, and many more subconscious evils. The Hatchet is a powerful weapon that ICP knew would make a point, and wearing the clown makeup and preaching about the Carnival is a way to prove that just because they are clowns, doesn’t mean that they are funny. They mean business, and they want to usher change in the most dramatic and powerful way possible: through a religious type of environment. If you want to change someone’s mind on a mass scale, your best bet is to preach a form of religion to them. I’m not a Christian, and don’t believe in his teachings, but Jesus knew that if he wanted the world to change, he should preach to his followers on a religious level. If he just went around the world and said “Don’t rape or murder, it’s bad.” People would have been like, “No shit, Sherlock.” He went around saying “God says, ‘thou shalt not murder’” and people were like “Wow, that’s amazing! Maybe I should listen now!” (And I know this was rather chopped and screwed, but you get my point, I hope). We are supposed to be Family no matter what. Remember what Violent J said, how Juggalos are all waiting to realize that they are Juggalos, even if they don’t know it. They just haven’t gotten the message yet, and ICP is hoping they will. After all, “Six have risen; the end of time will consume us all.” They want to enlighten us before something fucking rediculous happens to the entire world, before it’s too late to change.

ghost_of_oden – Nobody’s “number one argument” is ‘if you don’t like it, don’t comment/listen’. We just push this point because it’s fucking true. Anyone on here wasting their personal time flaming and spamming ICP and Juggalos simply because they had a bad experience with one or the other. Either that, or they have low self esteems and have nothing better to do than bully a bunch of kids who are probably half their weights and twice their muscle-mass. People get tough behind their protective little LCD screen, because they know that whoever is reading what they type can’t come out and physically punch them in the face. I’m not one to throw fists; never was, never will be. But all I’m saying is, there are some among us who, I’m sure, would love to kick the shit out of the spammers and flamers (flaming as in attacking, not as in gay, just to make things clear. I’ve got nothing against homosexuals, and nor should any true Juggalo/lette) on this board and many other boards, who attack ICP and Juggalos merely because they either don’t understand us, or because they know a guy who knows a guy who knew a supposed Juggalo who did something rediculous, setting a bad precedent for all the Ninjas out there. We are stereotyped and abused repeatedly, and it’s getting fucking old. Leave us to our world, and we’ll leave y’all to yours. Simple as that. That goes the same for emo’s and goths and punks and skaters and any other stereotyped group. Leave them the fuck alone, and they’ll leave you the fuck alone.
