The Mars Volta Step Into the “Octohedron” with Listening Parties
In anticipation of their June 23 release of Octohedron, THE MARS VOLTA’s fifth studio album, the band have launched an interactive artwork experience site, which features hidden surprises, including the audio for the new track “Since We’ve Been Wrong”. The band is looking for 10-15 of their biggest fans to host advance listenings in their homes for their new album. Fans must submit why they deserve to host a party. Submissions are open to interpretation: anything from youtube videos, illustrations, writings, etc. Any way to best translate why you deserve to be a “Host“.
“Official Hosts” will have their party pics posted on THE MARS VOLTAs website. The band will also select one host and guest of their choice to see THE MARS VOLTA perform anywhere in the US. Submit your entries by June 3 to OctahedronParty@gmail.com. Make sure and include all your info (name, city, state).
