Deftones Bassist’s Health Improving, Breathing On His Own

According to fan site, DEFTONES bassist Chi Cheng’s health has improved and is now able to breathe on his own. The musician had been in a coma after a motorcycle accident in November. The band has recruited former Quicksand and Burn bassist Sergio Vega as a fill in while Cheng recovers.

www.OneLoveForChi.com posted the following message on May 5th:

“Hi all – just wanted to update everyone and let you know that chi was released from ICU over the weekend and is no longer on any sort of life support. his symptoms continue to improve. so keep the prayers coming.. they are obviously helping a great deal!”

That’s awesome he’s recovering, but why does everyone always say “the prayers are helping”? It’s less obvious to me that the prayers are helping, but its much more obvious to me that the life-support machine helped A LOT.

the most important thing is his recovery, yet you must bring in your atheistic beliefs into it and shoot down prayer?? You’re more annoying then a televangelist.

Do whatever you do that might be working, because it is. Whether it’s that life support machine, prayer, or some warm thoughts, the efforts can’t hurt

Instead of putting him on life-support, they should have just prayed. OBVIOUSLY life support does absolutely nothing. It’s just an invention that the liberal atheist media plugs in for show. That guy was healed by prayers and nothing else. Everything else (machines, meds, etc.) didn’t do a thing.

If I WERE to pray, I would pray to god and call him an asshole for trying to kill this guy in the first place. How come all bad things aren’t god’s fault, but all good things he can take credit for? I say give the machine some credit. Fuck god.

what’s this ‘god’ you speak of. never of heard it (him? her?). frankly i’m confused.

What the idiots on this board don’t realize is that if this happened to them, their family would say the exact same thing about prayers. It’s just what you say for something like this. But the difference is no one would care because they post on smnnews and dont make records.
