Before Their Eyes Beaten Up at The Chance By Security

BEFORE THEIR EYES, currently on tour with SILVERSTEIN, NORMA JEAN, and BLESSTHEFALL, fell victims to security with attitudes. The result was mangled faces, New York coppers, and a photographer who could snap nothing but black and white stills.
It all blew up at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Their blog reads:
“Hey- tonight’s security did a great job of putting a fellow band member in the hospital.
All of this started because the security member (pictured below) decided to ATTACK us because we didn’t want to set our equipment out in the pouring rain while we went to get our van to load out.
Here is how it all went down: Meet goliath, 7 foot, 300 pound, crazy man that likes to beat up kids.”

You know, if it was Madball or Irate playing the venue, that security guard wouldn’t have done shit.

For a news site, you’re not very investigative. LOL Before you post something, get your story straight. Cops have this on record and this is NOT the way it went down. Kudos to the Security for putting these jerks in check.

regardless of what happened, there is no fault to be lay blamed on the journalist…ps. that security guard looks like an absolute goon, and christian rock is a complete joke.
This is a NEWS site. If you are going to post something, it should be accurate. Or get both sides of the story. Or at least the truth. What this band is saying is complete lies. And the security guard does not look like a goon. He looks like a pissed off man that got sucker punched by a little sissy that ran off after he did it…while his friends pummeled this guy out of no where. 5 kids attacking 1 guy. This guy looks like someone who you should not mess with. 5 of them. 5 on 1. And all this guard walked away with was a mark on his face. If these kids can’t take it, they shouldn’t be playin’ with the big boys.
For one no one knows what lead to this event but those who where right there when it happened and from the sound of this, you were most likely not there. and as for the comment on the security guard looking like a goon that is bull, if you were able to defend yourself against five guys and come out without so much as a scratch you too would look as pissed!!
Also, isn’t this band a Christian rock band, great way to show a Christian example to your fans, idots!!

That bouncer that thay refer to as goliath has been a riend of my family for as long as I can remember. He is soft spoken and very gentle. His wife and kis love him dearly for his big heart. I can assure you that he was provoked. The bands reference to steroids is totally uncalled for. Tony (aka Goliath as the band calls him) has not and would never take steroids.
For the band that posted this in the first place…
Taking pictures in public and posting them without making a profit may not be illegal, however, defamation of character is. Openly accusing someone of taking illegal drugs and “attacking” people is essentially degrading a persons moral character and can be considered defamation of character.

Wow , you guys are really something ! Thats not what happened , I was there that night and witnessed the whole thing . The bouncer was actually trying to calm the situation he wasn’t agressive at all ! The bouncer AKA (Goliath) was talking with the other band members and the lead singer sucker punched him and ran off and hid in the parking lot like a little PUNK ! At the same time leaving his band mates to deal with the aftermath ! By the way 5 guys jumping 1 bouncer and still getting their asses kicked is pretty funny to me ! I was a fan until I witnessed this , myself and quite a few others won’t be going to any more shows , not because of what went on , but because of the way they handled themselfs and then to lie about it on top of it … By the way don’t you all wish you could read the Police report , It’s in favor of the bouncer and The Chance !!!

Anthony is truly grateful to all that saw what happened and have voiced it. We heard this stuff was out there, and it’s nice to see that there are some of you that aren’t afraid to speak the truth!
actually before their eyes hit no one and the goliath guy threw the first 3 punches. SO you all need to get your facts straight. The fight started inside the venue. The venue has video but won’t release it b/c they know they will look like a dicks. THIS VENUE IS A COMPLETE JOKE.
Keep in mind, YOU wanted to press charges until you knew there was a video tape. At that time, you decided not to, because it showed YOU at fault. The only thing security did was defend himself against a bunch of punk kids that thought they could “take him down.” Boy, were you guys mistaken. 5 on 1 and that guard looks like he only has a mark on his face. And get the facts straight? You wouldn’t know a fact if it slapped you in the face. Maybe one day, you guys will grow up and actually act like men instead of a bunch of punk kids.
the owner even said he never had a problem with this security guard…its right on the myspace page for the chance.
