System of a Down Drummer John Dolmayan Auditioning for Smashing Pumpkins

Billy Corgan’s SMASHING PUMPKINS are reporting that SYSTEM OF A DOWN drummer John Dolmayan has been auditioning to sit behind the kit for the seminal rock band.
“In total, 12 drummers were auditioned on Tuesday. An additional tryout could potentially be held in May due to such overwhelming response to the audition process.”
“Overall, the drumming auditions were considered a very positive experience. The talent in all the drummers that tried out was incredible. Some of the candidates include John Dolmayan of System Of A Down.”

John Dolmayan Huh? That’d be pretty interesting to see him with the pumpkins. I wonder who else auditioned?
I think John could do just a tad bit better than the Smashing poopkins
