Wow, I’m glad I’m not the only one. Black Tide, White Wizard, and Toxic Holocaust are pieces of garbage. Municipal Waste is badass primarily because of Dave Witte.. although the whole partying thing is pretty hilarious. Other than that this whole scene provides nothing new.

Warbringer, the Waste, Gama Bomb and Evile are kicking ass and flying the flag for the new thrash scene. keep it going!

    HI HATER!

  5. Anonymous says:

The problem with the newer thrash bands is that while they may be playing thrash, everything about them seems to be forced and done for the sake of nostalgia. Bottom line is that there isn’t much here that we didn’t see/hear 20 years ago.

I laughed at the lead singer of warbringer, he was wearing these shoes at the show when I saw Darkane. And he has them on in their music video!!

The guy above me is an idiot, especially considering the social overtones of thrash lyrics

  12. shodan says:

I couldn’t agree more with him. It’s like these bands found their older brother’s record collections and are just imitating what they found.

  13. Scott Hull - I tip my hat to you says:

Trash metal/thrash metal – connotations of garbage. Fuck 99.9% of thrash metal bands! Repetitive pop-punk bands deliver more talent and prestige

  14. muck says:

“Repetitive pop-punk bands deliver more talent and prestige”
