Reprise Records will release GREEN DAY’s eighth studio album, entitled 21st Century Breakdown, on Friday, May 15. Produced by Butch Vig (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins) The album is the trio’s first studio effort since 2004’s two-time Grammy Award-winning American Idiot.
21st Century Breakdown is divided into three acts: “Heroes and Cons,” “Charlatans and Saints,” and “Horseshoes and Handgrenades,” and follows a young couple, Christian and Gloria, through the century so far.
The first single, “Know Your Enemy”, will impact radio in April.
Green Day is a great band. A SERIOUSLY great band. American Idiot is one of the best things to ever come out, ever.
But is this METAL news?
No they are not metal. And I think they are overrated regardless of what genre you put them in. They are pop rock in my opinion.
I like that one album. Dookie. Other than that… fart noises.
Great a “concept” album from a band that can barely play decent riffs, assassinate these fuckers!
Man they wanna be bad religion.
