Tim “Ripper” Owens Reveals Cover Art, Release Date For Upcoming Album

TIM “RIPPER” OWENS (Judas Priest, Yngwie Malmsteen, Beyond FearIced Earth) will release his first solo album, Play My Game, in May via SPV/Steamhammer. The 12 song record will feature tons of guest starts including Bob Kulick, Chris Caffery (Savatage), Jeff Loomis (Nevermore), and Simon Wright (AC/DC, Dio).

“I’ve gotten better as a songwriter,” Owens explains. “And I also write songs that the fans can really get into and get their fist pounding in the air. I’ve always been a great fan of the Black Sabbath lineup featuring Ronnie JamesDio, and I love Judas Priest. Both bands delivered records that are straightforward and go directly to thebloodstream – which also happens to be my compositional approach.”

Play My Game hits stores in North America on May 19th.
