Additionally, Dave Kinkade comments:

“This is due to situations in Arsis that are out of my hands. I do not feel that it is my place to go into specific reasons leading up to this decision but being the drummer of Arsis, it is in my best interest to NOT keep the fans in the dark. There are major personal and communication issues in this band that need be resolved before anything can continue as Arsis. I will leave it at that. Again, my apologies to the fans and the other bands on the bill.

“Due to the situation, I am available for session/ possible long-term drum work nationally and internationally.  Those interested can contact me at:  Anti_cosmic_drummer@yahoo.com

“On a positive note, the new Borknagar album is nearing the final completion stages. Having spoken with Øystein today, I am told that vocals and synths are well under way and we will all be meeting in Oslo at the end of April for the final mixing and mastering. So far, drums and guitars are finished and let me be the first to say that this album is going to be immense. By far the most brilliant material that Borknagar has ever written, this work is going to have all the “meat n’ potatoes” musically and production wise. I trust that all the fans will enjoy this effort.”

  5. grizz says:

you know I really love this band but ive just about had it with them and tour cancellations. They need to get their shit together they have the potential to become one of the elites but it seems like they are extremely unprofessional. This is the last time I buy a ticket in advance for one of their shows (granted if carcass wasn’t headlining i’d be pissed)

  6. gm says:

    WTF.

This is one of the primary reasons I bought tix to go to the California Metal Fest crap, I haven’t seen them perform anything off their new album except for the title track… bastards. I agree entirely with Grizz.

  11. Anonymous says:

I hope not. It will probably just be some fag scene band

  12. PISSED OFF says:

yeah that would FUCKING SUCK if they did that

  13. Anonymous says:

I hate all these bands that get this great shot to go big and they always fuck it up!! Can’t you just be adults and deal with eachother for the chance to go on tour with CARCASS!!!

  14. Anonymous says:

Thank God. Now that these fags have dropped off, maybe we can get someone good like Whitechapel. Maybe Beneath the Massacre, but hopefully Whitechapel.

Man, I hope Psycroptic drop off too so that we can both Whitechapel and BtM instead. That’d be fucking excellent. Suicide Silence/Whitechapel/Btm would be so intense that I’d probably leave early and skip Carcass…they’re ok, i’m not that big a fan anyway.

^^^^If the above comment is not a joke…wow

  16. El Doucheo Bago says:

Cool, I hope Suicide Silence and Psycraptic drop off too.

  17. Bobby says:

That’s not all the dates. They’re playing in Tulsa, OK on March 20th

  18. LifeInBlack says:

One of the best underachieving bands out there. Breaking up would be utterly pointless since James IS the band. Perhaps that’s the issue. Maybe James wants too much control over everything? And by the way, how the hell does the next drummer live up to Darren Cesca’s skill when playing the “We are The Nightmare” album? No pressure right? I’ve personally been to 4 shows they’ve cancelled last minute. They need to get there shit together and stop being fucking girls. Bring Van Dyne back!

  19. Dave Kinkade says:

Wow, you are all a bunch of fucking idiots. 1st off, to the douchebag who would rather have whitechapel……hahaha, you’re gay. 2nd, Carcass rules…..before dropping shit about one of the more legendary bands in this genre, do your homework on REAL metal, quit dying your hair purple and get some fucking pants that fit. Realise that we dropped the Carcass tour due to James Malone having some health issues that currently prevents him from touring. Would you rather he tours and gets sicker? I think not. My past work in bands says enough for my drumming so dont say we keep going through drummers. Sadly enough, most musicians cant keep their head on straight and ths day in age, its hard to keep a line-up because so many people are full of shit. Not anymore. We are solid and our stage show is quite the event. We destroyed on the Morbid Angel tour. Enough said. The videos are on youtube.

Quit the shit taking and grow up. Arsis will be back stronger than ever in a few months and we WILL be back to make up for the dates we missed.
