Rob Zombie To Start Filming Halloween Sequel

ROB ZOMBIE will be directing the sequel to his 2007 remake of Halloween. H2 will begin principal photography on February 23rd according to a posting on his MySpace blog. The movie is slotted for an August 2009 release.

Zombie explained some of the H2 plot outline to horror site Icons of Fright:

Well, it’s going to pick up right at the next second,” he says. “Ya know, when I was making that movie, it was really funny… I had struggled with the Laurie Strode character through the whole movie. Within the sense that, I usually work with darker characters like Captain Spaulding and Otis [from the films “House of 1000 Corpses” and “The Devil’s Rejects”]. Those are the characters I really feel like I understand. By the time I got to the end of the movie when Laurie Strode was all smacked up and covered in blood, holding a gun, and screaming, I was like “That’s the Laurie Strode movie I want to make!
