Guitair Hero III Generates $1B in Sales (!)

Roughly one year ago, Activision proudly announced that the Guitar Hero franchise had surpassed $1 billion in North American revenues (a feat accomplished in just 26 months). Fuck this game i truly do not understand how someone can spend the countless hours they to on this piece of shit. If these kids would spend the time playing a real insturment they would be phenomial musicians instead they are good at playing a fucking controller shaped like a insturment. Furthering the demise of American Musicianship. I cannot wait for the day that they do some kind of tour or something with this bullshit. Fuck you Guitar Hero!!!!!!

I’ve been saying that for years. Why waste your time playing Grand Theft Auto when you can go steal a car and pick up a hooker for real?

haha..a real hooker..we need a Guitar Hero: Suffocation

I do play instruments. As in more than one.

Am I allowed to play Guitar Hero/Rock Band with my friends and have fun (god forbid), or I should I sit in my room alone and play guitar/drums/etc?

My guess is that everyone that complains about GH/RB has no friends. Enjoy playing your instruments and being tr00 kvlt alone in your parent’s basement.

Anoynmous nailed it. It’s called having fun with friends. I know people who play these games and they play real instruments.

I think it makes people want to play music more since they know that playing the real instruments are much funner and rewarding. A lot of guitarists start off playing air guitar, before getting a real one.
