Full Scale Brawl Erupts at Oceano Show

Another gasp-worthy article. At OCEANOs recent gig on December 10 at the Chenga 57 indoor skate park in Lorain, Ohio on the aptly-titled Seasons Beatings tour a “full-scale brawl” erupted during the band’s set, even forcing front-man ADAM WARREN to stop the band mid-song.
For video footage of this “full-scale brawl”, that was achieved with minimal crowd participation, watch below:

I counted at least six Fifty-Nine Fifty hats. At least two headbands. This video looks like gymnastics class with a fashion statement.
Textbook case, nothing new…some kid gets “hit” and takes it way too personally so he decides to start a fight and then it’s crew vs. crew within a matter of seconds…been there, seen that. About 90% of “fights” at shows are for the most petty reasons you can imagine – and it’s not just hardcore, metal is just as guilty. These people don’t understand that this is why shows get shut down and this is why more and more venues are closing their doors to bands. Take it outside and let everyone else enjoy the band – even if they do blow.
Theres hardcore scenesters for you. They fight in groups like pussies.

it’s not the same at metal shows. fights happen but people don’t usually go looking to start one. i’ve been to my share of hardcore / metalcore shows and there are constantly people there in attendance who are looking for a fight. what’s odd is that the fights at hardcore shows are usually worse and are not alcohol fueled where as the ones at metal shows usually are very alcohol fueled are over quickly.

This is why i find my self avoiding metal shows more and more.
Now i mostly go to noise gigs much more calm and civilized. Don’t have to worry about losing teeth to some idiot or going to jail for beating the fuck out of somebody.
I love metal to death but this younger generation… i go to shows to watch the band and hear some good music,not get my face kicked in.
damn that sucks. apparently they paid “good” money for that show. i would feel like i was robbed for my hard earned cash for that show i’ve been waiting to see forever
