Motley Crue Announce Opener for 2009 “Saints of Los Angeles Tour”
Remember that contest where you could open for Motley Crue? Yea, the one where you would be able to open for them, win boatloads of money ($25K), all new gear from Gibson, and even get screwed with a management plus deal from Tenth St. Entertainment and Eleven Seven Music.
MOTLEY CRUE have chosen THE LAST VEGAS from Chicago to be their little gophers. The band will open for them this Friday at The Palladium in Los Angeles. In addition, the band will occupy the opening slot on MOTLEY CRUE’s 2009 Saints Of Los Angeles US tour – dates to be announced on Friday, November 14.
That’s not the best part though. The best part came from Vince Neil who said, “The overall talent and energy of The Last Vegas surpassed our expectations. Mötley Crüe is excited to pass the torch on to these amazing musicians, just as Ozzy did for us over 25 years ago.”
Listen to THE LAST VEGAS here.
Cool, I remember hearing The Last Vegas in Guitar Hero 2, “Raw Dog”, and it was one of the better bonus tracks. Kudos to those guys.
i saw them on cruefest this past summer and i would definitely go to another show.
We are the Taints Of Los Angeles
The Last Vegas were not even part of the original six bands that were to perform for that contest. They were added at the last minute and “won.”
If I were one of those original 6 bands, I would be pissed at the shanghai by the Crue management.
I guess it was easier to take a band that a lot of press behind it (guitar hero II, SPiN band to watch) rather than a complete unknown band.
