Metallica’s “Death Magnetic” Certified Platinum

Who would have guessed it? After barnstorming to #1 just six weeks ago – Death Magnetic has scanned more than one million units and has been certified platinum by the RIAA after its release on September 12.

Their 9th studio effort, it was METALLICA’s fifth consecutive #1. Death Magnetic remained there for three consecutive weeks and to date has scanned over 1.2 million albums.

Death Magnetic also scored topping chart positions in 31 foreign countries, including the UK, Canada, and Australia, and top 3 chart slots in seven more, including Japan.

I like death magnetic, but not more than Christ Illusions.

But it is still great to see a real hard rock/metal band hit Platinum status these days.

The only bands that can still do that is mainstream Jungle, Country,or talentless pop bands. That buy over half their beats and songs, And dont even write thier own music.

    Good Job Meallica!!!
