Director Darren Lynn Bousman Reveals All
For their special Halloween podcast, MTV2’s Headbangers Blog conducted a macabre and revealing interview with Darren Lynn Bousman.
The blog focuses mainly on Bousman’s new film REPO! The Genetic Opera. The director unearths set secrets for the first time: why he gave up on directing Saw 5 (after directing Saw 2 – 4) in order to devote his attention to Repo; how cast members Sarah Brightman, Bill Moseley, Nivek Ogre and Paris Hilton were able to work together without killing each other; and the creation of the movie soundtrack, which includes musicianship by members of KORN, SLIPKNOT, and FILTER.
Other tidbits include why a SWAT team raided one of his parties, why tears were shed on the set of “Repo: The Genetic Opera,” how he feels about the term “torture porn”, and how the sight of real blood makes him nauseous.
