Nightwish Cancel NYC Show; Sonata Arctica Performs Free Show

The Nokia Theatre in New York City has posted the following update regarding tomorrow’s (Sept. 27th) NIGHTWISH show:
“Fans of metal band SONATA ARCTICA and special guest MARTYRD will be treated to a FREE concert on Saturday! Fellow Finnish rockers NIGHTWISH, also originally set to perform at Saturday night’s show, have cancelled their performance due to lead singer Annette Olzon’s sudden illness. The rest of the band’s members will be at the show to meet-and-greet fans as well as sign autographs. SONATA ARCTICA will peform at 9pm. Ticket holders will be issued refunds at points of purchase.”

You don’t see many bands today doing this, very respectable if you ask me.
Yeah, I don’t like any of those bands, but that is pretty cool of them.
I’ve never even heard of something like that!
Nightwish merch was still on sale, and the guys of the band came out for some unintelligible speech right before Sonata.
yeah, great thing to do, this band is one of the few that really deserves respect for their music, attitude, care and honesty.
