Rumors are abound that DISTURBED will be bringing back their Music As A Weapon Tour for 2009. Last featuring NONPOINT, FLYLEAF, and STONE SOUR in 2008, fans can probably expect a similar breed of pseudo-radio bands to complete the bill this time around. Routing and final confirmation is still to be announced.

WTF? Alex Aro, everytime you make a post, it’s the most absurd garbage I’ve read all day. Disturbed aren’t an awful band, I used to like them, but they’re a gateway band into metal. They’re radio friendly alt rock that is just bland and blander as they go along. You must be like 12 and just getting into metal (no offense, because we were all there once) but understand that Disturbed, while mildly entertaining for the casual listener, are nowhere near “the ultimate band”. Maybe one of the better bands that you hear on the radio; maybe one of the better nu-metal bands… but not in the least a good band when compared to other metal bands. Since this is METAL news, and all.
I think they are a great band too and put on a hell of a live show. The lead singer looks and acts a little corny though.
Shut up gunface. One I am not some eleventeen year old loser. I am probably older than you for one thing. Disturbed is not really radio friendly music but whatever. They are really one of the few original bands that can always redefine themselves. Go Limp Bizkit!

Disturbed was awesome when they first came out, but as time goes by so does the metal feel. I went to the first 2 “music as a weapon” tours, but when they put Flyleaf on the bill, I lost all respect for the whole tour. Put the emo where it belongs, in the ground and away from the good music.
Fuck all of you assholes who dont like Disturbed so what if there radio friendly thats because they kick ass and sell albums. If any one else has shit to say about Disturbed fuck you!!!!!!!!!! Keep it to yourselves you stupid emo pussies before i use your mouths for a personal urinal.

You know, if Disturbed didn’t have awesome music, they probably wouldn’t have been around for half as long as they have been. Are they a bit more mainstream now? Sure. Is it true, that they may have lost more of the metal edge, maybe, although I would say that Indestructible came a lot farther than 10,000 fists in terms of metal, but they put a unique sound out there that isn’t a replica of pretty much everything else that is out there. If it seems out there sorry, but I think Disturbed helped make the resurgence of heavy music start to get popular again when the world is predominantly rap and hip hop. So for having an unusually original sound, and a constant renovation of heavy music, you gotta give respect to that. Besides, I love the new album, and even though it’s no down with the sickness, don’t forget that Down with the Sickness brought such awful tracks as droppin plates………….

Disturbed did pretty good with Indestructible. It’s just about as good as The Sickness. Disturbed definently has a unique sound and just because they aren’t as metal as they were when they first came out doesn’t make them bad. They make good music, and people like it. I saw Disturbed back in August at Mayhem Fest and they had the place shakin’ on it’s foundation.

The only way i would go see this tour if flyleaf’s on it there the best live group out they always show high energy and Lacey can sing her butt off.

ok to cleear this all up disturbed is far from nu metal. they are metal, sometimes heavy depending on the song. Their first two albums were sweet, ten thousand fists was alright, but i dont get how you can call them bad after indestructible came out. normally i only like a few songs on a cd, but there isnt a single bad song on indestructible. sure they dont scream, doesnt mean they arent metal. disturbed is absolutely amazing live, put on a hell of a show. seen them 6 times. they should be respected. i love disturbed, i love KSE, i love Trivium, I LOVE METALLICE, i love all types of metal. so take it from me when i say disturbed is amazing because ive heard my fair share of metal
Hey, whats up. Last concert I went to was Motley Crue, Crue Fest in Boston, Mass, before that I saw Bullet For My Valentine in Hampton Beach, NH, never bled so much in my life before. I love moshing and the new line up for next years tour has been altered due to Devildriver’s previously commited tour dates, which confilct in the spring of the upcoming year.
Line up as of today:
- Disturbed (Seen them twice, both, orgasmic)
- Killswitch Engage (Seen them one, sick motherfuckers, look up videos of them talking on stage, they went on tour with lamb of god, scary shit man)
- 5 Finger Death Punch (Now here is where I feel the magic happening in this fucking tour! Go out and buy The Way Of The Fist album by these guys, so good. I saw these guys with Disturbed at Mayhem fest and also a smaller show, the first time I saw them I was like “wow this is going to be gay, what a fag name” so I made the fucked up choice of sitting down for them, bad decsion, these guys fuck shit up on stage, at mayhem fest it was all seating, people were lucky. . . .Anyway what im trying to say is that this band is going to be one of the best in the world, their music is so fucking heart pounding and their meanings make me cry, when i see this tour in Portland, ME (DISTURBED YOU PROMISED YOUD COME BACK!) Im going to fuck people’s lives up, DO NOT MISS THESE GUYS!)
- 36 Crazyfists (Recently toured with Disturbed, must be good live to recieve a reinvite from one of the best metal bands in the world, these guys are taking Devildrivers place, would rather see Devildriver play Clouds Over Califorina live, but hey, KSE, Disturbed, 5FFP, all in the same in, gizz, in, my, pants.)

lets post our opinions because it matters
I know that this post may be a little late but since when has a band had the same sound throughout their entire career? No band ever sticks with the same sound throughout their career. Every band changes their sound, lyrics or appearance in their career to keep them “fresh” or in other words they do what appeals to the public to get some more doe or they change their sound/feel because they want to progress their genre or music. If bands kept the same as when they start then how would they sell more albums/make more fans? You can’t get more fans doing the same old shit. So, bottom line, bands change so listen to what you want and stop bitching when they take their sound in a new direction.
Being a fan of disturbed and seeing them a few times in my life, also seeing them recently, each and every album after sickness and believe, becomes more commercial. Although the last 2 albums were decent they are losing their edge. But you know one of the greatest metal bands, being Metallica, lost their edge a while back, but they are still putting music out and making mad money. I don’t see any mention of Chimaira on this post. This band deserves such respect, dealing with all touring and label problems, put out one of their best albums to date. They are just getting better with age. Anyway if i go to this tour, it will be only to see them and disturbed. Five Finger Death Punch? I was supposed to see them at three concerts, hopefully they show up this time. Killswitch engage? well lead singer has a good voice but ive seen them at least 4 times and they don’t get me too pumped up. Ill be chillen, smoking during their set.
Disturbed is one of the best bands in this day & age. They’re keeping Metal where is belongs & as true as it should be. Along with the rest of the bands that will be on this tour…Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engage, Lacuna Coil, etc., all of these bands are their own bands with their own distinct sounds. None of them are copycats of each other like all the rest of the crap that is everywhere today. This tour is going to be the kick ass of the year.
Disturbed is alright, but one of the best around? fuck no.
