  1. The Sentinel says:

The vocals are pitiful and it sounds like a glorified Load song. Metallica finally figures out that solos were what made them (former) metal gods but its too little too late. How can Megadeth release a masterpiece such as United Abominations so many years after their creation, yet Metallica hasn’t released an amazing album in nearly 20 years. And yes, screw your black album.

    United Abominations was fucking turd

  3. Anonymous says:

    you’re both fucking idiots

  4. Anonymous says:

    at least it’s better production

  5. Red Chris says:

HEY!!! the snare drum doesn’t sound like Lars is beating on an empty trash can!! WOOHOOO, here’s to progress!

  6. Anonymous says:

metallica can suck my fucking dick, they are fucking terribad now days

  7. Alex Aro says:

Metallica is such a good band and this song proves that they own your soul. I will be buying multiple copies on release day. Until then I want more new music!

Empty trash can? WTF are you talking about, Lars is one of the best and most innovative drummers out there. Assclown.

  8. Anonymous says:

Well… this is better than anything on stanger, but now it just sounds like they are trying way too hard to make a “Fade to Black” “Sanitarium” “One” song. They are hardly recapturing the epic feel those songs had. Instead it sounds more like a shitty Metallica rip off band trying to copy one of their songs.

  9. Jeremy Jacob says:

To The Sentinel: The Day That Never Comes is excellent. James voice was bad, but he’s getting old so what do you expect? But if you like Megadeth don’t even talk, Mustaine has the worst voice in the whole music industry. And as for the Black Album, it’s ranked the 25th best selling album of all time, what’s Rust In Peace ranked again?

  12. Thanatos says:

musically, i love the song… especially towards the end. Vocally and lyrically… this pains me. Hetfield has long since lost his touch. They’d be better off if they stuck with their “hard rock” sound instead of metal, like load and reload. he simply cannot sing metal anymore.

  13. Anonymous says:

You know i agree. People always hate on Load and ReLoad, but both of those albums still had really good songs. It was just a change in style, they werent playing metal anymore, they were playing hard rock, and they were pretty damn good at it. Now that they are trying to be a metal band again, its just not the same. None of those guys probably even listen to or like metal anymore, so for them to play it feels forced. Kind of like this song.

  14. hoof arted says:

What can one expect? Every single whining bitch on this site is gonna say it sucks regardless of what it is or how it sounds.

But if people like Sentinel say it’s too late, then I guess it’s just too late!

  15. Dirt Junior says:

music is decent but the hey-hey hey singing nonesense..ughh!!
    james..you cannot sing…you are a screamer!!!
    CHRIST~!

  16. Anonamoose says:

James hasn’t really screamed since Ride The Lightning. But that’s neither here nor there. VERY solid song. The first 3 1/2 minutes are like a top notch Load song would be (The Outlaw Torn anybody?) The second half of the songs is just epic riffing and soloing that all works together. James vocals are serviceable anymore, which is all they need him to be. This track’s already better than anything United Abominations had to offer, so to call that a masterpiece is a joke in itself.

  17. darth vato says:

yeah right united abominations a masterpiece??

that’s why mustaine ends with “holy wars” all of their concerts instead of gears of war? cmon best megadeth also is the old stuff, just like metallica

Metallica’s old metal is better than any of the megadeth music

    This song is great

  18. SonOfKalmah says:

ok here we go. its megadeth vs. metallica once again. all im gonna say is this. mustaine is a mastermind, a genius, a legend. the last 3 megadeth albums- World needs a hero, system has failed, and united abominations are very solid, very good albums. and as for metallica, well their last 3, which are in an 8 yr span, cant even be compared to the last 3 megadeth albums cuz their horrible. and as much as i love justice, i take rust in peace over it. so one word to describe megadeth is consistency over the years.

  19. screename1414 says:

Reload sucks, Load sucks, Black album is soulless, stanger was abysmal. This new song half sucks, half ok. The last 3 minutes is pretty good. And to whoever brought up the black albums sales as a defense, you know who else is on that last? The backstreet boys. Theres some fucking metal.

  20. Joe says:

Overall, I liked it, it was kind of half and half though… the first half could have been quite a bit better but the second half was pretty enjoyable.

  21. Anonymous says:

All faggots. Except actual gays like decent music.

  22. 57sprinklesofpain says:

anyone comparing metallica to megadeth is just retarded. justice, RTL and MOP. Pick any of those 3 and it crushes any Megadeth Album.

new song first 3:50 wasnt very good but the rest of the song was good.

the new album will be good, it wont be Justice but it wont be st anger either.

  23. Anonymous says:

Other than Lars’ crappy drumming, this wasn’t that bad.

  24. Horse says:

Alex Aro,…… Lars drumming is the opposite of inovative. Its very straight forward, no off beats , simple type of sh*t. When i started playing drums when i was like 10, or 11, Enter sandman was a song i learned off of. Lars is a good drummer, but far far far from great, he should go back to playing Tennis, and Bitching about napster, fucking Homo

  25. The Noone Someone says:

Give a closer look to Anonymous words and you find a man that loves the tallica but try to be real and say the unhappy truth about they recent act.
i’m 31 years old and i listen metallica from the and justice for all.i still think that is the best metal band for me..and i was waiting with many hope the next step of the band to blow my mind away but with this song that day never comes.
this fucker that calls him self producer rick rubin is to produce bands like placebo madona etc.
his face ugly face has nothing to do with metal industry and i think its a large part of the wheel.
from the other hand tallica never been so unispired
to the edge to copy like a bad copy band them selfs.
the intro was very bad without meaning ,the verse
could be a great song for another reload style song
but all the other was a fucking unknown garage band try to cover a mydley with reef from metallica
and bridges from old songs of them.all of that with a mix that makes the shit bright shitter.i dont want to think that boys only want to full the deposits with money but this is how it looks and i am not part in that if the final product is that shit.
we love metallica but do they love us?
in my country greece the coffin special edition will purchased at 120 euros.dont make me laugth.with that song-songs?i have to say why dont we fuck?

  26. Your Mom says:

    uh what?

  27. The Noone Someone says:

    ouh that!

  28. 123 says:

What would you buy multiple copies? They’ve got enough $$$.

And for the record, imo… its a good song. not very good…good.

  29. Anonymous says:

to the dude that said lars is a good drummer

fucking kill yourself, lars is trash

  30. Dirt Junior says:

    buy it?
i will make it a point of someone giving me a cdr of this garbage.
i wasted too much $$ on metallicash!!!!

  31. Anonymous says:

I’ll buy the next Benette le Massacre before buying this crap

and.. I wont be buying btm

  32. Your Mom says:

God this song is fucking weak. Why would you make a song about a girl getting beat by her husband if you’re metallica? lol. Anyone who says this song is good is just comparing it to St. Anger, which makes Disturbed sound good. This song is not good.

  33. BRUCE LEEROY says:

    THE BOYS ARE BACK MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  34. LifeInBlack says:

Yeah, the guy who thinks Lars is inspirational…
Obviously doesn’t listen to much metal. And by the way Megadeth and Metallica both suck the hog. If I were to pick one though, gotta go with Megadeth just because I saw a record 14 girls go into Mustaine’s trailer before the show. Thats one big ass orgy.

  35. pat says:

I respect metallica for paving the way for alot of the great new metal bands out today (not nu-metal..fuck that shit) but man, i heard the single the other day on the radio, and i turned it half way through. i figured they went back to the ride the lightning days..hell at least the black album days. but that shit reminded me of that lame, old school metal trying to be shitty sounding/ production nu-metal st. anger cd they put out a few years back. lame…ill save my 10 dollars…ps fuck lars.

  36. 57sprinklesofpain says:

hey fuck head listen to the whole song. until you do your opinion doesnt count.

  37. Dave Mustaine says:

    I wish I was in Metallica again…

  38. Cliff Burton says:

    i don’t…
