AVENGED SEVENFOLD were on hand to accept Kerrang’s “Album of the Year” award in England today. Other winners included MACHINE HEAD for “Best Live Band”, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE for “Best British Band”, BLACK TIDE as “Best Newcomer”…and some other guff.
Special awards also went to heavyweights METALLICA, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, SLIPKNOT, and DEF LEPPARD.

Are there even word in the English language to describe how irrelevant Kerrang awards are to Actual Progress in Music?
I think it would be the same words used to describe the grammys.
