Mastodon New Album Out in January 2009

MASTODON hope to have the followup to Blood Mountain out by January 2009. Speaking to Artist Direct, the metal act claim it is “far the biggest departure from record to record that we’ve done”.

They are working with Brendan O’Brien (RATM, STP, Pearl Jam), with the lyrical focus set to explore topics relating to Czarist Russia. The only song title to have been confirmed for the album so far is ‘The Ghost of Karilla’.
