More Indie Band Opportunities
Don’t say we don’t inform you about nifty promotional opportunities because today, leading social media network imeem launched Mutiny and Mayhem, a nationwide search for two talented acts to perform at the second annual Treasure Island Music Festival.
Mutiny and Mayhem will select a band to open the Tunnel Stage each day of the festival, which takes place on September 20 and 21 in San Francisco. The act selected for Saturday’s opening slot will join a bill of electronic, dance and hip hop acts that includes Justice, TV on the Radio, Goldfrapp, Hot Chip, Aesop Rock, Amon Tobin and Foals, among others. The act selected to play Sunday’s opening slot will kick off a lineup that includes The Raconteurs, Tegan & Sara, Vampire Weekend, Spiritualized, John Vanderslice, and more.
Individual artists and bands who are interested in performing at the Treasure Island Festival can enter the contest by submitting their original performances via the festival’s official imeem page.
