Institute of Contemporary Music Launches Metal Weekend
The Institute’s Metal Hammer Weekend, sponsored by Metal Hammer, is happening this August in London – two full days of tips and guidance for those learning to ply their trade in a more “professional” manner…
The guests who have confirmed the will be dropping in during the weekend include:
Tom and Dan from ARCHITECTS, who will be treating everyone present to an exclusive preview of their new album, which isn’t due out until January 2009
Steve Smyth from TESTAMENT & NEVERMORE, who will host an exclusive 2 hour masterclass.
Carl Dawkins, bassist from CINDERS FALL & SINTUITION, two of the UK’s biggest up and coming thrash metal bands will be jamming live with attendees
The course takes place on August 16th and 17th and “…will give participants a complete workout for building up the skills needed to tackle the most demanding elements of this style. Whether you are a guitarist, bass player, drummer or vocalist.” More info available at icmp.co.uk.
