Brody’s Militia Offer Post Tour Update
Kentucky’s BRODY’S MILITIA have posted the following update:
“The tour was awesome! We played about eighteen gigs in a row and managed to come home alive and somewhat unsoiled. Lots of blood and beer. Every gig was killer although we kinda sucked in Austin so appologies to the handful of folks that saw us there. Only Memphis cancelled on us but we wanna see Graceland someday so we’ll hold off on buring the place down just yet. Many thanks to all the folks who helped out in any way and to all the bands who played with us. The ratio of ‘kick ass’ to ’suck ass’ was amazingly high on the ‘kick ass’ side of things!
When it comes down to balls out fast hardcore punk – FLAG OF DEMOCRACY is the best band in the world! When it comes down to freaked out 70’s style hardcore guitar punk debautchery with a stage show that’d make Alice Cooper proud – FAGGOT is the best band in the world! Both of these bands are our fucking heroes. Seriously. We can only imagine what it might be like to rock half as hard as either of these two killer bands. If you live in Philly or Minneapolis and haven’t already, please shower these folks with money, beer and love. Some of the coolest people ever and the kind of live bands that make sleeping on dried up puke, flea-infested garbage and broken bottles for three weeks totally worth it! We love all you guys.
Lots of young bands ripping earholes on this tour! DRAGTOWN from Detroit, NO MAN’S SLAVE from Oklahoma City and HOOKER SPIT WINDEX from Dayton, Ohio were the standouts for me personally. Seek ye demos from these dudes now!
As for our record-related future, the split 7″ EP with GHOUL should be out in the next few days. The vinyl is done and sitting at Rescued From Life HQ and the covers are soon to depart from the printing dungeon over at the Hell’s Headbanger’s complex… should be ready to go very soon! Get in touch with Clay ASAP to get in on some gross green gore wax action!
Our side of the artwork for the split with ANTiSEEN is done! This thing is a total masterwork with art by Bill Hauser based on a bad-as-fuck ‘Planet of the Apes’ theme from the mind of one Mr. Jeff Clayton. I’ll lay this beast out and it should be in the hands of Raunchy Ralph at Haunted Hotel Record within a week. Doing a split record with ANTiSEEN is obviously an extreme high point in our eight year career of evil. I’m the first to (proudly) admit that we are just another in the long line of ANTiSEEN clones so this record is kinda like if Leroy from ‘The Last Dragon’ got to do a split 7″ EP with Bruce Lee. Or something to that effect? You get the point… we’re fucking stoked and honored! Terrible analogy aside, look for this to crush skulls and piss off the weak very soon. I’ve heard both sides (even played on one…) and you’re seriously gonna bleed.
We got leftover tour shirts and other merch that I’ll put up here for mailorder purposes. Check back soon. We have two KILLER shirt designs by Bill ‘None Left Alive’ Hauser that you’d be absolutely fucking stupid and ugly not to own!
