Sleepytime Gorilla Museum Issue Update On July Tour
SLEEPYTIME GORILLA MUSEUM, who some have called ‘the best progressive band since KING CRIMSON,’ will head out on the road this July.
An update from the band reads: “SLEEPYTIME GORILLA MUSEUM is hitting the Western roads of North America again in the first half of July, traveling up into Canada just in time for the 4th of July, and back down in to the States to watch the smoke and the hoopla clear, leaving us all yearning for a better anthem and perhaps a weekend class in the traditional clogging of the Sierras.
Then we get busy planning to document our encounter with the Last Human Being in movie form (more about that as it falls deftly into place). We’ve recorded some sentimental ditties for this lonely creature, and are in the midst of penning a couple more as we get to know him better, as pathetic, and sad, and ultimately unknowable as he is.
The MUSEUM is in the midst of planning our next European tour, slated for April ‘09, centered around the Rock In Opposition Festival in France. That’s the news from the curators of the SLEEPYTIME GORILLA MUSEUM.”
