Nine Inch Nails – “Ghosts I-IV” – Two Hours of Free New NIN Music
We’re a bit late with this one…sorry….but, nearly two hours of free NINE INCH NAILS music is up for download. Ghosts I-IV was released on Sunday via NIN.com, and is a four volume collection of 36 untitled instrumental tracks recorded over a 10-week period last fall.
Ghosts I-IV was conceived as an experiment: Following 2007’s Year Zero album. Trent Reznor enlisted Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder with help from Alessandro Cortini, Adrian Belew and Brian Viglione to create the tunes. Rob Sheridan did the artwork.
Only the first section “Ghosts I” is free the other will cost you $5 just for the download, $10 for the download and a CD to be shipped, a $75 Deluxe Edition that is “in a hardcover fabric slipcase containing: 2 audio CDs, 1 data DVD with all 36 tracks in multi-track format, and a Blu-ray disc with Ghosts I-IV in high-definition 96/24 stereo and accompanying slideshow.” and a $300 edition that is sold out already.
is it any good. Ghosts I sounded like ambient background NIN type stuff. Are the others more musical? Hopefully?
They all sound pretty much the same. Cool, but a slight step below other NIN releases without any vocals.
