Beyond Shadows – Secure Studio Time with Fredrik Nordstrom

Up and coming melodic death metallers, BEYOND SHADOWS, have recently announced that they will enter the legendary Studio Fredman in August to record a new full-length album with Fredrik Nordström (At the Gates, Arch Enemy, In Flames, Dimmu Borgir). An initial demo is scheduled for release in early April.

The few posts this shitty website uploads a day consist of a local NYC metal band who is as impacting and original as every other band out there (oh how compelling SMNnews is for metal or music…)
The ability to strike a connection with Fredik Nordstrom is ‘beyond’ me; This is basically a revisit of the Swedish Melodic metal from the mid to late 90’s with a more processed and synthetic sound. Not to mention the music sounds like multiple recycled rifts – but to each their own…
SMN, is this the best you can do with real metal or music news? Copy and paste articles from blabbermouth; That will be more compelling than the usual 5 pieces of crap out-of-date daily postings that find their way on this site.
Great work with the news, SMN… glad to see there are still some serious melodic death metal bands preserving the tradition of melody and brutality started by bands like At the Gates. I hope to see more articles about bands like this in the future.
i actually (sorta) met these guys once about a year ago on a show they held in brooklyn, a battle of the bands. their music is different, but they totally blew everybody away in the end, at least most the people i knew anyways. last i heard they changed members.. good to see they are still kicking.
I kind of know the singer/guitarist of Beyond Shadows, but not in person. He’s very nice and he’s an excellent musician!
