Exactly how is having 1 satelitte company zero competition? Couldn’t the same be said of terrestrial radio??? First of all, you would have to PAY for satellite. No one would force you to buy Sirius/XM. Second of all, there is TONS of competition.

Examples: Terrestrial radio, Mp3’s, CD’s, Internet radio stations, myspace, itunes, any medium that delivers music/talk. THESE ARE ALL COMPEITORS OF SATELLITE RADIO. Remember…if there’s competition then it CAN NOT be a monopoly.

But the biggest issue isn’t whether or not it is or isn’t a monopoly. Why has this taken a year now?? Why can the government not make a decision? This shouldn’t have taken more than a week to decide….

Also what “ideas” does Sirius and XM censor?

Not to mention that “uncensored” bullshit is a lie. Sirius and XM both censor ideas in their own way. Sure they let curses fly, but they censor in other ways. They’re as shady as terrestrial radio.
