Ozzfest 2008 Rumored Bands and Lineup
Bands for the limited run dates which will make up OZZFEST 2008 have started to surface. Like 2007, a shortened tour is expected, with rumored artists for this year’s lineup possibly featuring the likes of:

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE
CAVALERA CONSPIRACY
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN

It’s presently unclear whether the ‘freefest’ model will be adopted for this year or whether or not Ozzy will ship out by his lonesome or be joined by his fellow Birmingham compatriots for another BLACK SABBATH run.
Press from October of last year points to the likelihood of the former, rather than another reunion. The aging rocker was quoted as saying, “as far as I know” when quizzed over his headlining the summer roadshow. Regarding Sabbath he simply stated, “I’m the last person to be told anything. I’d love to do another [Black] Sabbath album. There are a bunch of things written. But the problem I’m having is it’s got to be at least on the same level as when we departed. If it’s not, then what’s the point in doing it?”
OZZFEST 2007 featured the following criterion:
1. Tickets/Entrance was free
2. Ozzy Osbourne headlined (…and debuted new music from Black Rain)
3. It was a 25-date haul that kicked off in LA on July 7

Last year wasn’t too bad. The people weren’t that bad either, besides 2 that overdosed and died where I caught it.

Brogen’s right, BTBAM said Ozzfest ‘06 was the worst touring experience they’d had, so I doubt they’ll be onboard.

Serj, Cavalera Conspiracy, and Fair To Midland I’d like to see but I doubt any of the above will be onboard. Filter and STP I seriously doubt, at least not on the same bill. Otherwise why not get together the Incest Fest: STP, Velvet Revolver, Filter, Army of Anyone. Just trade members back and forth, hah. But yeah, I’ll wait until I hear something a bit more concrete before I start passing actual judgment.

I have been to every Ozzfest since 99′ and every year I have been pumped about the Lineup. This is the first time in 9 years, I will conisder not going if this is what the line up looks like this.
You cant go from a Lamb of God Co Headliner to STP. And Bullet for my Valentine?? are you kidding me.
They for real need to Add MESHUGGAH (releasing a new album for chirst sake, great timing.) Amon Amarth, Arsis, Chimaira, and Cannibal Corpse ( I heard they were rumored also) or i wont go!!
Ozzfest, in the last 4 or 5 years has stayed fairly underground, and have had some burtal bands. Such as Slayer, Lamb of God, Behemoth, Devil Driver. I need Brutal bands so I can rip it up in some brutal Pits. Like Lamb in the lawn last year for instance.
If you thorw STP in as the Co. Headliner, and have thousands of 14 year olds thier to see bullet for my Valentine, Im sorry but I will feel like Im at the Warped tour. And I will have a Horrilbe time.

No band could do as bad as LORDI. they sucked so bad the lead singer at the ozzfest Phoenix got smacked in the face with a bottle of gatorade

with soulfly, slayer, pantera…

i was just at a 3 inches of blood show last night and they said they were doing ozzfest again, they’re worth checking out if you get a chance. i thought last year was a shitty line up with only nile redeeming it but this year is disgusting. its depressing looking at past line ups in comparison. what happened to ozzfest? can someone please answer me that?
I doubt Killswitch will be on that package. They are supposed to write a new record this year which im highly looking forward to.
