Killswitch Engage – Certified Gold by RIAA for “The End of Heartache”

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE have officially received their first RIAA gold certification for their sophomore Roadrunner release, The End of Heartache.  Featuring breakthrough radio hits “Rose of Sharyn” and the Grammy-nominated “The End of Heartache,” the album was released on May 11, 2004 and experienced a steady rise to gold status. The album was hailed as “a stunning collection retaining much of their signature musical brutality but teasing with electric hooks, strategic use of silence” by Rolling Stone and organically received a mass of critical acclaim.

The End of Heartache elevated KILLSWITCH ENGAGE into the mainstream scope and was a catalyst for the band’s inclusion in national tours such as Taste of Chaos, Ozzfest and Vans Warped Tour.

Continuing to push musical boundaries, the band is gearing up to embark on a U.S. co-headlining U.S. tour with LAMB OF GOD, kicking off November 28 and running until December 17.

KsE pushing musical boundaries? What a joke. Only people on SMN would think that.

Tecky, you are the joke. In all seriousness, fuck off and just shut the fuck up. I mean it with the utmost sincerity. No one gives a shit about your “elitist” attitude towards 99% of what is posted here.

Every comment from you is cynical, ignorant, dismissive, and flat out unintelligent on multiple levels. Your whining is on par with those who are scenester emo kids.

KSE isn’t Suffocation, Vital Remains, or any other band that you think is “superior” or “true”. Grow the fuck up and get the fuck over it. Seriously.

    ^^^what he said.

Not to mention, it didn’t say what musical boundaries they are pushing. It could be their own not everybody’s.

I’m actually kinda surprised this is just now being certified gold. I thought alot more people had the album, considering it’s been released twice, End of Heartache was on the RE: 2 soundtrack, and My Curse is on Guitar Hero 3 and I’m sure I’m missing other places.

I’m definitely looking forward to seeing them but I also wish Soilwork was headlining.
