Paul Booth – Inks Deal with Headbangers Ball to Provide a Weekly Blog
Tattoo master Paul Booth, the artist of choice for metal musicians seeking tats, has proven that he’s almost as good with a pen as he is with a needle.
In August, Booth inked a deal with the MTV2 Headbangers Ball Blog to write a weekly column about his numerous experiences on tour, and interactions over the years with various rockers.
The column, “Thrashin’ Ink” will post every Wednesday, and through Booth’s musings on ink, art and metal, readers gain insight into the mannerisms, quirks and philosophy of one of the most interesting tattoo icons. “Thrashin’ Ink” will also feature rare photos and artwork from Booth’s vault.
In Booth’s first column, he talks about his first experience tattooing a rock icon (SEPULTURA’s Igor Cavalera), the first time he was brought onstage by BIOHAZARD and how he learned to only tattoo in the daytime.
