Serj Tankian – Tour Dates Released
Serj Tankian – the voice of multi-platinum rock band SYSTEM OF A DOWN – got fans primed for the upcoming release of his debut solo album, Elect The Dead, by joining the FOO FIGHTERS for an exclusive performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, which broadcasted live on Sunday, September 9th. Tankian sang a cover of the DEAD KENNEDYS classic “Holiday In Cambodia.”
Elect The Dead is due out on Serjical Strike/Reprise Records on October 23rd. The album’s first single, “Empty Walls,” hits radio this week, with a video for the single premiering on MySpace today. Another album track, “The Unthinking Majority,” is currently available on iTunes and getting huge phone reaction at radio stations across the country, including Los Angeles’ influential hit-maker KROQ.
Tankian will embark on a promotional tour in the U.S. kicking off on October 12th in Chicago, then join the FOO FIGHTERS overseas for a series of European dates beginning November 3rd in Manchester, England.
