In Flames – Preparing To Enter The Studio
IN FLAMES have posted the following update:
“So, we have played the last show of the ‘Come Clarity‘ tour. It has been amazing, and the whole band would like to send out a MASSIVE thank you to all of you who came to our shows. Without you guys it would be pretty boring to play live, that’s for sure.
As you know you can all submit your own photos from any of the IN FLAMES shows you may have been at. All you have to do is email them to webmaster@inflames.com and they will be posted as soon as possible.
If you think we are now all going on holiday and taking it easy you are all wrong…we are about to start pre-production/record the new album, which will be released next year at some point, hopefully around spring time. The new album will be recorded in IF Studios in Gothenburg.
You can follow the entire recording step by step by checking in to www.myspace.com/inflames where a video diary will be shown. A new episode will be posted each Monday. The 1st episode will be up on September 10th so make sure to check in for that.
Until then, thanks again for making 2006/2007 awesome years for us.”

I know people bash In Flames a lot for being sellouts and whatnot but I don’t really care. I have been a fan of this band for quite a bit of time now (about 7 years) and I could care less what other people think. They are a great band and I will be anticipating this new album.

aside from the whole sellout thing, lets face it, the last solid album they put out was clayman 7 years ago. come clarity is definitely a rebound from the 2 hideous albums but not that exciting, not nearly exciting as DT’s fiction or character. alot of bands these days are going back to their routes in some way like DT who by the way, in my opinion are the reigning kings of swedish metal. this would be the time to put out the jester race part 2(or whoracle).
Cant Wait…but I bet people are anticipating This album more though.

Everything definitely came together for In Flames on Clayman. Unfortunately, RTR and STYE did not follow suit, but Come Clarity was a step back in the right direction. With that said, I’m looking forward to what comes next from them.
