Unexpect – Sign Licensing Deal For Europe

Montreal’s “rambunctious and unique classical/black metal ensemble” UNEXPECT have posted an update on their official site about a new licensing deal in Europe and more tour dates. The posting reads:

“Times are good! Our tentacles are in extension process…and it has nothing to do with Viking bowling or the elasticity of lunar trees…We just signed to a new label named Ascendance Records for Europe. Under license, In A Flesh Aquarium will finally be available all across the European territory for the first time. The initial 2,000 copies of the album will be presented in a limited edition double CD slipcase, the bonus CD featuring the ‘We, Invaders‘ EP and a completely exclusive instrumental track. The release date has been scheduled for this fall.

Ascendance Records is a new label funded by Lee Barrett (founder of Candlelight Records; former member of EXTREME NOISE TERROR, currently in TO-MERA) and A&R’d by Sam Grant (writer, promoter, broadcaster, interviewer for Sonic Cathedral online).

…and don’t forget that we still need your support to win the title of ‘Best Metal Album of the Year’ at the GAMIQ awards 2007. You have until August 31 to vote on this website….now i’ll go back in my lamp…”

You can check out the band’s currently confirmed North American tour dates online over at their official MySpace page.
