Foxy Shazam! – Sign To New Weathermen
New Weathermen have announced the signing of FOXY SHAZAM! to their roster. The second act inked to the label, FOXY is a “worthy successor to the cerebral but fun bar set by label-mates HEAVY HEAVY LOW LOW. Hailing from Cincinnatti, OH, the group which formed in 2004 create keyboard propelled songs that layer spastic hardcore noise atop fractured classic soul inspired pop.”
The band is currently in the studio with producer Casey Bates (Chiodos, Heavy Heavy Low Low) recording their New Weathermen debut, Introducing Foxy to be released in early 2008. The band proclaims that the new songs are a huge evolution from their self-released album The Flamingo Trigger (2005), samples of which you can hear on their official MySpace page. The band will embark on an upcoming U.S. tour with KENOTIA, EYES SET TO KILL, and KARATE HIGH SCHOOL through September.
