Max, Igor Cavalera – New Band Name Revealed

Max Cavalera has revealed that his new band with his brother Igor will be called INFLIKTED. Max describes the band as follows, “very punk, very hardcore, but also metal too. You’ll hear stuff and you’ll know it’s coming from songs like ‘Arise‘ and ‘Beneath The Remains.’ I’ve even done some death metal stuff ‘Morbid Visions‘-style which I haven’t done for ages. Everyone was into it and it was such fun to record that shit. And we did fun stuff like a POSSESSED cover, ‘The Exorcist,’ but we did it in a more punk style.”

Band name sounds straight out of 1998.
Marc Rizzo is also involved, so the chances of this failing are pretty slim.
Good news in so many mays:
1. Soulfly is dead
2. Sepultura will finally stop
3. These guys will (hopefuly) put out good stuff again.
with igor and max FINALLY back together doing a project is AMAZING, they were talking about Arise and Beneath The Remains, this release is gonna shake the metal world, wait for it!
the name does sound like a roadrunner nu-metal band, but overall, this is good news.
Why would Sepultura stop…….that makes no sense.
Especially since Dante XXI is the best thing they’ve put out in yeeeears.
