Fueled By Fire - Spread The Fire

July 16th, 2007, 9:05 pm

While many bands today have taken the sounds of Euro-Metal and early 80’s Thrash to a whole new level, here lies a band that makes no changes to music they were inspired by and channeled some of that energy appropriately. FUELED BY FIRE have unleashed a NWOBHM/Thrash infected album that goes straight to the head of those clad in Denim ‘n Leather for their debut that hits stores on August 7th.

FUELED BY FIRE bring back memories of JUDAS PRIEST (Screaming For Vengeance) and IRON MAIDEN (Piece Of Mind) as well as Kill Em All era METALLICA and other Bay Area thrashers EXODUS especially in the song Striking Death.. The song titles on this effort simply reflect their beliefs in Metal such as Metal Forever and Thrash Is Back. The singing is not amazing, the guitarists are not virtuosos, the bass is in the pocket, and the drumming is in the pocket. But somewhere in between Fueled By Fire have an album that could be a good listen to purveyors of the classic metal sound. Throw the horns and bang your head!
