Below The Root – New Band Featuring Ex-Disgorge Vocalist

After a lengthy hiatus, vocalist Matti Way (ex-Disgorge) is working on a new project named BELOW THE ROOT. This new project will feature Wayne Knupp (ex-Devourment) on dual vocals, Russ Crossman (Mutilated, Gutrot) on guitar, Josh Staples (Sexcrement) on bass, and Jon Engman (ex-Brodequin) on drums.
Matti Way has described the style as “in your face, straight forward, extreme brutal death metal.” This is tentatively a studio project, but talks of a few live shows has been discussed. The CD will be released on the DeathMetal.us label.

A brutal death all-star line-up. There’s no reason this shouldn’t kick serious ass.
