Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem – Make Touring Team

Billboard.com reports: ARCADE FIRE has tapped LCD SOUNDSYTEM for the fall leg of its North American tour, which begins Sept. 17 at Red Rocks in Denver. The excursion’s only other confirmed date is Sept. 20 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, though fans can expect the tour to run through early October with more perfomances to be announced later.

A pre-sale for tickets will be held via the band’s Web site June 20 through June 22. A sale date fpr the general public has yet to be determined.

As previously reported, the band is also slated to perform at this year’s Austin City Limits festival, to be held Sept. 14-16. The eight-piece group is currently touring in Europe and will play the Reading and Leeds festivals on Aug. 25-26.

The Montreal-based rock group is hitting the road in support of their latest set, “Neon Bible” (Merge), which topped the Tastemakers, Top Rock, Digital, Internet and Independent albums charts in March and debuted and peaked at No. 2 on The Billboard 200.

Electronica troupe LCD SOUNDSYSTEM impacted The Billboard 200 this year too, as its new DFA album “Sound of Silver” entered at No. 46 in April. The group, fronted by James Murphy, will be performing in Europe in June and July, then returning to the ‘States for Lollapalooza on Aug. 3.
