I’m still trying to figure out for myself if $100 is worth it to see RATM @ RTB. There are some pretty decent acts on the bill but the only thing that would make me buy a ticket is RATM, and they will most likely be out touring next year for a lot less.

And not to mention – most of the cats on here that listen to hip-hop listen heavily to east coast LYRICISTS. Cage, Psycho+Logical, Immortal Technique, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Wu-Tang, Nas, Jay-Z, JMT – guys that put a lot of time into the verbal aspects of their songs as opposed to somebody like a Three 6 Mafia who, while I enjoy the shit out of them, can’t rap for shit but can craft one hell of a beat…… It’s all preference based. Some people like more complex, thought provoking writtens – others like Nelly and KMK, the simple shit. There’s nothing necessarily wrong with either it’s just a matter of opinion……

The prob w/ KMK is that once you’ve heard one song, you’ve heard them all. There’s very very little variety from song to song. It’s all smoke weed/drink beer/smoke more weed/smoke even more weed/pass out…….

And that’s from a KMK fan. I like em but they are extremely linear.
