HORSE The Band – “A Natural Death” Delayed Until August 28 – New Tune Posted

HORSE THE BAND will now release their new album, A Natural Death, on a delayed August 28 date through KOCH Records. The band has also posted “Murder,” a song from the new album, on their MySpace page.

“We posted a series of ads and pictures featuring dead wolves who were killed in an ‘un-natural’ way (i.e. by humans and technology). This is meant to explore the irony of ‘a natural death’ and make people ask themselves, ‘What is natural?’  Nature being murdered by man is paralleled by man being murdered by nature, which is a theme of our album,” says guitarist David Isen.

A Natural Death is about the futility and arrogance of creation and destruction, the overwhelming scale of space and time, and the brutal majesty of nature, the horror of birth and the beauty of death. Everyone who will ever live will die a natural death, and will soon after be forgotten for eternity. Hopefully this album will serve as a warning to the human race to stop taking itself so seriously, as we have seen the dire consequences of its actions in the future. You are nothing.” proclaims keyboardist Erik Engstrom.
