KoRn – New Material Debuting on MySpace – Mandolin Used on New Album

The new single from KORN debuted this week on Los AngelesKROQ airwaves. ‘Evolution’ can now be streamed on KORN’s MySpace page . The album title for the July 31 release is yet to be confirmed, but according to guitarist James ‘Munky‘ Schaffer, is set to be “very gothic”.

The new CD also features mandolin played by Munky, and a near-impossible guitar riff on a song that is unnamed, but has been referred to in the studio as “My Arm Hurts.” Munky explained that “it’s a hard riff to play, and if you keep playing it for an hour, your arm hurts. [Frontman Jonathan Davis] was in writing the song with us, so he’s the one who came up with the riff — because he’s not used to playing hours on end. He was kind of the second guitar player, filling in the blanks for me.”

‘Near-impossible guitar riff’ and Korn should not be anywhere near each other in a news story.

that new song is garbage! the worst thing Korn has ever put out… and that’s saying a lot.

Your full of it. No matter what you will say that the next song is garbage. You actually liked Twisted Transistor more than Evolution? Why would you even check out the new song?
