Ozzfest 2007 – Behemoth Land Non-Rotating Slot Before Hatebreed on 2nd Stage
Polish extreme metal titans BEHEMOTH are proud to announce their addition to the OZZFEST 2007 lineup having landed the direct support, non-rotating slot right before second stage headliners HATEBREED. This is the first time a Polish act has ever participated in Ozzfest.
Nergal (vocals, guitars) states, “I couldn’t be more proud about the fact that BEHEMOTH will be joining this year’s Ozzfest! I’m speechless and beyond excited. No doubt it’s going to be the brightest point of our career thus far, and I hope that this will help to spread dangerous and extreme music among the masses.”
“It’s an honor to team up with our longtime brothers in Nile and to share the stage with Lamb of God and Hatebreed, not to mention the legend himself! With such a bill, you can expect nothing but pure metal carnage! What makes me even more excited is the little fact that we will be releasing our new album during the tour. So expect songs from The Apostasy, as well as some older shit. We’ll definitely make sure the set is going to be brutal as fuck. You’ve been warned!”
BEHEMOTH built their career upon their unrelenting touring schedule, performing over 325 shows worldwide for the Demigod album campaign. With Ozzfest, the group kicks off the worldwide touring cycle in support of their highly anticipated new album, The Apostasy, which is set for a July release.
The group’s most ambitious and epic offering yet, The Apostasy, was recorded in the band’s hometown of Gdansk with Nergal and longtime sound engineer Malta in the producers’ chairs. The effort is currently being mixed with the acclaimed Daniel Bergstrand (In Flames, Meshuggah, Strapping Young Lad) at Dugout Studios in Sweden and mastered by Bjorn Engelmann (Rammstein, Samael).
BEHEMOTH became one of the most talked-about acts within the scene due to their vicious and unrelenting live performances on last year’s Sounds of The Underground tour, which garnered them legions of devoted new fans. After a slew of major U.S. tours with the likes of such acts as DANZIG, MORBID ANGEL, CHIMAIRA, and THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, the group more than solidified themselves as one of the genre’s most exciting new artists.
While most bands struggle to evolve and stay vital within the extreme music genre, BEHEMOTH manages to do so effortlessly. The Apostasy is destined to continue the legacy.

I’M SO HAPPY ABOUT BEHEMOTH
i would NOT by any means be sad if their singer came down w/ something and they had to do an all instrumental set. as a matter of fact, i just may enjoy it if it actually came to that.
^ you had to do it didn’t you? you had to make a comment i didn’t agree with. now i’m totally off-balance.
haha, sorry
This is excellent news, hatebreed needs to leave though.
lol. Wow. Ozzfest is a mix between 3 good bands and a suckfest.
behemoth, 3 inches of blood, lordi, the showdown, this is about diverse as it gets.
its free shut the fuck up
Seriously. Mondo Generator, for the record, is awesome.
Yeah, a free pile of shit.
Two good bands. Not even worth the price of parking.
Shut the fuck up you crybaby bitches. Only a “metalhead” could find a way to complain about a free show. If you dont like it than just dont go douche bags, but please just shut the fuck up and do everyone else a favor and kill yourself.
^Agreed. For years, you all have been complaining about Ozzfests’ notoriously “weak” lineup. For years, you all clamored for heavier bands, death metal, black metal etc. instead of what you were getting. They give you Iron Maiden, Arch Enemy, The Haunted, In Flames and Soilwork – all bands everyone had been crying over their omissions – you get them all on the same tour and you bitch anyways. You still wanted more variety and death metal. Now you get the most diverse lineup in Ozzfest history – FOR FUCKING FREE, nonetheless – and yet you still bitch. I’m no fan of the Osbournes and their antics, but fucking hell, seems they can do no right in some of you guys’ eyes……
